We had a great time getting to know each other in our Fort Worth Airnbn cottage and even did a couple outings to the Fort Worth Zoo and Trinity Park. We are so excited to bring Marlow home to Stamford on March 31.

Adoption day for Marlow Ivy Selkowitz in Fort Worth, Texas at Gladney Center for Adoption on March 28, 2021.

Marlow's birth mom, Josylynn, brought her in to meet us. It was an extraordinary moment.

Josylynn immediately handed Marlow to Alana.

We brought Josylynn a book of poetry, which we plan to read from each night to Marlow as part of her bedtime routine. Josylynn can read the same poem each night.

We will stay in regular contact with Josylynn and send her pictures and updates and we will see her again around Marlow's 1st birthday!

Josylynn is amazing. She is filled with so much love for Marlow and showed such strength and courage in making this decision. We feel so blessed.

Julie and Tim have taken care of Marlow for nearly 6 weeks while the process was unfolding. They volunteer to care for newborns who have yet to be placed. They're incredible!

Off we go as a family of three!

We feel so blessed to have been chosen by our baby’s birth parents Josylynn and John. Here are pics of Baby Girl on her birth day of February 12, 2021.

We started our adoption journey in Forth Worth, Texas on May 18, 2018 at Gladney Foundation’s orientation for prospective new adoption families. We signed up on the spot.

Hope was literally the writing on the wall on our way into Gladney’s headquarters.

Gladney CEO Mark Melson welcomed us and has been a great advocate throughout our process.

Gladney pays great care and respect to the history of adoption and its evolution over the years, which they have been instrumental in guiding.

Edna Gladney lived the kind of selfless life few have and was rightfully honored by the organization when they took her name after her 25 years of services.

Two big reasons we chose Gladney: their advocacy on behalf of birth mothers and their focus on adoption as an incredibly positive outcome for all involved.
